چکیده
Abstract Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the potential association rs11206510 in PCSK9 gene with coronary artery disease (CAD) and myocardial infarction (MI) Bulgarians. Materials Methods current analysis included 261 patients angiographically documented CAD (153 MI 108 without MI) 496 population – based controls. Genomic DNA extracted from venous blood samples. selected polymorphism genotyped by TaqMan SNP Genotyping Assay. genotype allele frequencies were compared between cases controls using χ 2 test. Results In study, presence T found be associated elevated risk for already existing ischemia (allele T, OR1.78,CI95:1.16-2.73, p = 0.007). result enhanced male subgroup OR1.74, CI95:1.02-2.96, 0.038). Also, we reduced (without (OR0.70, CI95:0.49-0.99, 0.04). This trend stronger (OR0.56, CI95:0.35-0.90, 0.02). There not any relationship studied genetic variant levels total cholesterol, triglycerides, low density lipoproteins high-density lipoproteins, or systolic diastolic pressure values. Conclusion Our a difference genotypes alleles controls, investigated cardiac injury Bulgarian demonstrated. Further investigations larger number will needed order evaluate possible CAD/MI
